The aim of the event, held on 14 February at Corvinus University, was to promote the spread of digital finance solutions by connecting the players of the Hungarian fintech sector and SMEs. The forum, jointly organized by the Hungarian Fintech Association, the Budapesti Kereskedelmi és Iparkamara and the Magyar Posta MPL, provided insight into the latest fintech innovations, provided practical knowledge to the participants, and laid the foundations for long-term cooperation.
The event was opened by Viktória Dr. Bódi, acting secretary general of BKIK and Zoltán Ács, president of MAFISZ. Among the professional speakers were Robert Pinter, assistant professor of the Corvinus University of Budapest, who presented the Digimeter research, Monika Harsanyi, head of the BKIK’s international project office, who presented the Bridge to Benefits professional program, and Monika Vido, Auchan Retail Magyarország ‘s business and digital development director, who spoke about the Ariculum digital connectivity system. Gergely Dee, Magyar Posta ‘s Director of Digitalization Development, outlined the development opportunities of the postal service’s value chain and effective forms of cooperation.
During the day, several fintech companies were introduced, including Bookkeepie, Open Banking, PastPay and Tokeportal.com. The event highlighted the business value of digitalization, whether it is cost-effectiveness, competitive advantage or new growth opportunities. The Digital Finance Day was the first stop in a longer series of programs that will create further opportunities for cooperation between the fintech and corporate sectors in the future.
